Trainer Fergal O’Brien has two in this Class 3 contest, Valentino Dancer and Dancila.
Paddy Brennan rides Dancila though and that also allows Valentino Dancer, the top-weight, to take off 5lb with claimer Jack Hogan on board.
It doesn’t look like the former is off a handy mark at this stage in his career and the latter, is coming back from a long break and may be a bit risky to back on that basis.
Throne Hall on the other hand, might just improve and with prior form being boosted winning over Sir Tivo back in September may be able to bounce back off the back of some poorer runs on softer ground at a nice each-way price.
Jane Williams trains this six-year-old who has been hitting the crossbar recently but is definitely suited to the conditions and distance.
And certainly has more chance of getting off the mark over fences for the first time than three of his rivals.
But there’s not much to inspire too much confidence in their jumping and will to win off of what seem like exposed marks.
However, this Irish seven-year-old trained by O’Brien is really putting things together chasing, with two big distance wins in novice company going from a mark of 88 to 108 in just two races.
Balko Saint is exposed when giving weight away and Chief Black Robe is given 9lb plus the 7lb from claimer Tom Broughton, who should make all on the odds-on favourite.
It’s also worth combining that with a straight win on Dancila too.
Not the top pedigree in comparison to other runners but bought for £360,000 a couple of months ago and from a line of sprinters.
This grey filly has big potential though and Clifford Lee and Karl Burke are enjoying lots of winners with two-year-olds this season.
The trainer himself has 15% strike-rate with two-year-olds on the turf over the last five years but has surpassed that this season with a win-rate of 27 – including Elite Status who impressed heavily on debut.
Worth keeping an eye on Ziggy’s Queen too, whose trainer is also doing well for debutants, and is also well-bred.
This three-year-old could be on the up for trainer Harry & Roger Charlton.
Given a nice chance by the handicapper as he placed a respectable third on reappearance at Windsor in May, his first start since being gelded in November.
He was also giving a large amount of weight away to those ahead of him while also dwelling at the start.
First time on good ground is interesting and should improve on what his just his fourth run, second time since being gelded and off a workable mark.
Placed third behind Noche Magica in April who went on to be a head second to Givemethebeatboys in the Marble Hill Stakes two weeks ago, also here.
He was four lengths off that runner but likely to take a big step forward as he was favourite that day and now gets better ground for top trainer and jockey, Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore.
The latter of which went to Leicester for one ride yesterday afternoon and won.
Close fifth on debut in October and comes back from a break for just her second run.
That run has worked out well though and even finished ahead of Scarlett O’Hara and is the pick of the front three in the market on value and potential.
Wasn’t far off second place Boogie Woogie either who has gone on to place behind Savethelastdance, beat Scarlett O’Hara by a wide margin and run in two Group contests.
