The Toronto Raptors host the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight and we’ve built a same-game parlay for the match.
The pregame narrative: Toronto has won two-straight games by 15-plus points and Minnesota will be without Anthony Edwards — the Raps should be able to comfortably cover an alternate spread. We’re also backing Scottie Barnes to stay hot and Pascal Siakam from beyond the arc.
Here are our best Timberwolves vs. Raptors same-game parlay picks for March 18.
NBA odds as of 2:35 p.m. on 03/18/2023.
Parlay: Raptors -4 + Barnes over 16.5 points + Siakam over 1.5 threes (+460)
Raptors -4.5 (-250) : We’ve taken Toronto to cover a 9.5-point spread in our best bets for tonight’s game but are teasing that line down by five points for this parlay.
The Raps have looked sharp this week, winning each of their games comfortably. They beat Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets by 15 points on Tuesday and followed that up with a 128-111 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder two days later.
This team plays well at home — the Raptors are 22-13 at Scotiabank Arena — and it’ll be going against a Minnesota team that’s short on rest and talent.
The T-Wolves suffered a huge blow last night when Edwards went down with a knee injury. That means they’ll be missing their top two scorers as Karl Anthony-Towns remains sidelined.
Minnesota has lost four of its past five games with three of those defeats coming by five-plus points.
Barnes over 16.5 points (-112) : Barnes has hit a stride offensively. He’s cleared this prop in four straight games and is averaging 22.5 points in that span.
We don’t think he’ll have trouble cooking against the Timberwolves, especially when you look at how they’re playing defensively as of late.
Minnesota has allowed an average of 122 points over its past five games and it allows an average of 21.22 points to small forwards per game. We like Barnes’ chances of clearing this line considering he is playing an average of 36.0 minutes a night in March.
Siakam over 1.5 threes (+118) : We’re asking Spicy P to deliver a pair of threes tonight and that’s something he’s done in two of his past three contests.
Siakam isn’t a volume shooter from deep — he averages just 4.1 attempts from deep per game — but we like his odds to perform against a Timberwolves team that allows the ninth-most 3-pointers per game (12.7).
The T-Wolves also allow opponents to shoot 37.1% from deep, which is the eighth-worst mark in the NBA.
