Denver enters Sunday’s matchup versus the Cleveland Browns winners of four straight. The reason I like them this week though is because the Browns will be playing without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson for the second game in a row.
Cleveland beat the Steelers 13-10 last Sunday but the Browns managed just 259 total yards and averaged 3.5 yards per play. Rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson went 24-of-43 for 165 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Cleveland has the NFL’s top ranked defense, although it’s hard to win consistently with little-to-no offense. Just ask the Jets.
I expect the surging Broncos to keep it going with a win over the Browns at home. Are there better picks on the board? Absolutely, but it’s Week 12 and if your options are limited, give Denver a look.
