There are six meetings across the UK and Ireland on Monday, four Flat and two National Hunt.
They race on the level at Thirsk (1.50-5.50pm), Brighton (1.55-5.20), Fairyhouse (3.10-6.55) and Kempton (4.52-8.30), the last of which is the sole all-weather card. The day’s jump racing comes from Worcester (2.05-6.10) and Listowel (2.10-5.40).
We have three fancies across the cards, including one for Joseph O’Brien at the Listowel Harvest Festival meeting in Co Kerry.

Horse racing tips: Listowel 3.20
This two-mile handicap hurdle carries a top prize of €36,000 and is the feature race on the second of the six days of the course’s Harvest Festival meeting.
Among the most interesting of the field of 16 is the Joseph O’Brien runner COMMON PRACTICE, a winner on the Flat last summer who quickly attained a rating of 82 in that code.
He won a maiden hurdle at Galway last October and ran well in good company on his next two starts, both at Fairyhouse, finishing fourth behind Lossiemouth – the subsequent Triumph Hurdle winner at Cheltenham – and chasing home another Willie Mullins star in Blood Destiny.
A 10/1 poke in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival in February, he got no further than the third flight before unseating Luke Dempsey.
He has been off since then and returns here sporting first-time cheekpieces with Mark Walsh on his back for the first time since that win at Galway. A mark of 129 may be within his reach.
Selection: Common Practice @ 4/1 with Paddy Power
Horse racing tips: Fairyhouse 6.25
This 6f Listed race is one of two carried over from Saturday’s abandoned meeting at Gowran Park and the improving MANSA MUSA is fancied to oblige for Kildare trainer Diego Dias and rider Chris Hayes.
The colt won a valuable juvenile maiden at Glorious Goodwood last month, making every yard over today’s trip on good-to-soft going and holding on gamely at the end.
He effectively stepped up on that by finishing second to Letsbefrankaboutit from the Paddy Twomey stable in the Group 3 Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good).
A repeat of that showing may be good enough for him as he drops in class and gate one is ideal for Hayes given his partner has plenty of speed and likes to lead.
Selection: Mansa Musa @ 6/4 with Paddy Power
Horse racing tips: Thirsk 2.55
Adrian Nicholls and Connor Murtagh are taken to score with MARIE’S SECRET in this Class 6 Nursery Handicap over six furlongs.
The Land Force filly ran well over course and distance in July when a close third in a novice contest on good-to-firm ground and was third on her handicap bow last month in a nursery at Ripon (6f, soft).
In that race she helped to force the pace before the two patiently ridden contenders in the field came through to finish first and second. The winner, Granny Budgie, obliged again next time at Hamilton before a fine third in a valuable contest at Doncaster’s St Leger Festival last week.
With course form in the book and further improvement still on the cards, Marie’s Secret should be in the thick of this action back at the North Yorkshire circuit.
Selection: Marie’s Secret @ 5/2 with Paddy Power
