Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees headlines a fundraising event called the World Gym Cares Fair, set for Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Kalispell.
The event, which is free to the public, benefits The Boys & Girls Clubs of Glacier Country, and lasts until 6 p.m. at the World Gym at 555 E Swift Creek Way.
Brees, whose magical 2009 season culminated with the New Orleans Saints’ win in Super Bowl XLIV, is the biggest name but several athletes with Montana connections will also be on hand.
Doug Betters, Chase Reynolds and Brock Coyle all spent time in the NFL; all played collegiately for the Montana Grizzlies, though Betters transferred to Nevada before embarking on a 10-season NFL career (1978-87) that included two Super Bowl starts with Miami, and one Pro Bowl.
Coyle is a Bozeman native who played three seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and two with the San Francisco 49ers (2017-18). Reynolds, from Drummond, played four years with the Rams, three of them in St. Louis and one more after the franchise moved to Los Angeles in 2016.
Beyond the gridiron, Olympic freeskier Maggie Voisin from Whitefish will be there, as well as renowned bull rider Beau Hill from Columbia Falls.
Several sponsors will be represented, with food trucks, games and music. Raffles and a silent auction will be held.
